MODERNIZATION UNDERWAY AT CHAD'S MAIN AIR PLATFORM
In N'Djamena, Hassan Djamous International Airport, a true air hub of the country, is currently undergoing a major renovation project led by Razel-Bec.
- Located less than 3 kilometers from the political center of Chad, this airport, with a single runway dating from the 1950s, has now seen its structure reinforced to meet the needs of modern traffic.
- Since May 6, 2025, nighttime work has been ongoing for 21 nights, consolidating the core of the runway over a 30-meter width. This meticulous work, precisely orchestrated by Razel-Bec, guarantees the safety and performance of the facilities.
AN ANGULAR PROJECT SOON TO BE FINALIZED
Completed on June 15, this key milestone for N'Djamena Airport includes the following work:
- Shoulders
- Runway ends
- Turnaround areas
Once these steps are realised, the complete upgrade of this strategic infrastructure will be finalized.

A PROJECT BASED ON 3 CHALLENGES
As Chad's only air gateway, Hassan Djamous International Airport is of major geostrategic importance to the country. Located in close proximity to the political center of N'Djamena, it is a key transit point for commercial, diplomatic, and military traffic in a country with no maritime access.
AN EXAMPLE OF GROUP SYNERGY ON THE GROUND
This project demonstrates the perfect synergy between the local expertise of Razel-Bec and the technological know-how of the specialized entities of Fayat Matériel Routier:
- Ermont ✔️ Hot asphalt mix fabrication : 1 TSM 17 Major et 1 TSM 15 XLM.
- SAE ✔️ Production of cationic emulsions : 1 EPLT v19
- BOMAG ✔️ Materialization and finishing of the runway : 3 BF 800 C pavers, 3 BM 2000/60 cold planers, 1 BM 1000/35 cold planer, 1 BW 161 AD-5 tandem vibratory roller, 2 BW 120 AD-5 light tandem vibratory rollers, 1 BW 24 RH pneumatic tyre roller.
- Dynapac ✔️ Materialization of the track by compaction : 2 CC 2200 compactors et 2 CC 4200 VI compactors.
- Secmair ✔️ Bonding of the runway : 2 9500 L – 4x2 spreaders.
- Dulevo ✔️ Sweeping of the runway : 2 Dulevo 6000 EU4 6 m3 sweepers.
