CMC of Aix-en-Provence

The Local Authority of Aix has validated the launch of a long-awaited project for the young artists in the town with the Contemporary Music Centre. Designed for the purposes of modern music (rock, pop, groove, etc.), its original appearance as a rock on the Aix landscape is certain to be a talking point. CARI Med, an agency of the Fayat Bâtiment division, has been entrusted with the design and construction of the CMC of Aix-en-Provence. The building, in the shape of a rock, will have two levels and the interior rooms will be separated by patios. It will house an auditorium of close on 1,000m² with seats for between 960 and 1500 people, and also a green room with 400 seats, 5 rehearsal rooms, a centre for performing artists, an administrative centre, a bar and a boutique!
