The Fayat Group strengthens its presence in renewable energies
France has been committed since 2020 to the development of carbon-free hydrogen with an ambitious national strategy. Endowed with 9 billion euros of public support to take off the industrial sector and its deployment on the national territory, it aims to deploy 6.5 GW of electrolysis, 1000 charging stations by 2030 and thus avoid the emission of 6 million tonnes of CO per year.
The FAYAT group's ambition, through its various subsidiaries, is to become part of the hydrogen value chain in the long term, in order to become a major player in this sector. Several strategic areas of development have been defined within the Group, whether in the decarbonization of industry, or in the development of heavy mobility using hydrogen. As such, the FAYAT group is also a member of the Association Hydrogène de France and labeled RGE (Recognized Guarantor of the Environment) through its subsidiary CASTEL & FROMAGET
Subsidiaries of the FAYAT group for the Hydrogène de France project
The operation involves the construction of the world's first mass production plant for high-power hydrogen fuel cells. A major technological and industrial advance for France, this factory, pre-notified PIIEC1 (Important Project of Common European Interest), will supply the national and international markets for heavy mobility (rail and maritime) and electricity production for networks.
Established on the site of the former Ford factory in Blanquefort near Bordeaux, it will contribute to the reindustrialisation of the national and European territory, to the development of the local industrial fabric and to the export of French technology.
For this project, our subsidiary SEG-FAYAT is responsible for carrying out the structural work with the construction of a building made up of offices on R+2 and a production hall on the ground floor.
Our subsidiary CASTEL & FROMAGET was appointed to produce the metal structure of the offices and all of the roofing and cladding of the building.
