8 November was Water Day, hosted by Fayat subsidiary Charlatte Réservoirs at Migennes in the Yonne. The first objective of this study day was to pool the expertise of the different subsidiaries present, identifying opportunities for water-related synergy within the Fayat Group.
Lest we forget, water is one of the biggest priorities of our age. Access to clean drinking water is still a major challenge in many countries
* The UN target is to increase the percentage of people in developing countries with access to clean water from 60% to 90% over the next few years.
The Fayat Group is on the front line of water management, with solutions for each stage of the water cycle: collection, transfer, treatment, distribution and reprocessing. To give just one example of a project which demonstrates the group's synergy on large-scale water projects: the Yaoundé drinking water network in Cameroon, which saw Razel Cameroun, Farmex Technologies, Fesi, Charlatte Réservoirs and ADC join forces to lay 254km of pipes, as well as constructing or renovating 3 pumping stations, 4 reservoirs and 4 water towers (equipment provided by Charlatte Réservoirs and ADC).
During the day, all of the Fayat delegates had the chance to visit Charlatte Réservoirs' production facilities. This day dedicated to exchange and synergy within the Group will now become an annual event.
