On 11 May 2012, Fayat and Pitch Promotion signed a PPP (Public-Private Partnership) contract with the municipality of Corbeil-Essonnes (Essonne) concerning the construction, financing and maintenance of an 18-class school complex.
The project for theLangevin school complex concerns 18 classes, including 8 nursery, 10 elementary and 2 academic integration classes, in addition to technical and teaching premises, recreation areas, dining areas and green spaces, amounting to 4,500 m² of usable space. The total cost of the works is €12.4 million.
Delivery of the building is scheduled for the start of the 2013 academic year.
Construction will be carried out by Cari, a Fayat Group subsidiary, in association with the design team consisting of Architecture Développement and the Ginger-Séchaud-Bossuyt Engineering and Design firm. The major upkeep and maintenance will be carried out by Dalkia France over a 20-year period. Financing has been provided by the Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France.
This operation forms part of a vast investment plan launched by the town of Corbeil-Essonnes for the renovation and construction of over 14 schools in the municipality.
As a reminder, the Public-Private-Partnership (Partenariat public-privé -PPP) is a funding method in which a public authority calls for private service providers to finance and manage a facility that provides or contributes to a public service.
